Steve Schneider

Steve Schneider was elected to City Council for his first term beginning January 1, 2018. His term expires December 31, 2025. Steve has been a Wauseon resident since 5th grade. He graduated from Wauseon High School in 1965. He continued his schooling at Bowling Green State University where he went on to obtain his Bachelor's Degree in 1969 and then his Master's Degree in 1974. He pursued a teaching career at Wauseon High School, where he taught math for forty-five years. He also coached football for twenty four years, wrestling for thirty four years and baseball for two years. He was inducted into the Wauseon High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008 and was also inducted into the Wauseon High School Academic Hall of Fame (Legends of Education) in 2016. Steve is currently a math tutor at the New Horizon Academy at Sara's Garden.

Steve has been married to his wife, Jessica for 50 years in July. They have two children, Joe Schneider of Cincinnati and Stephanie Trejo of Wauseon and two grandchildren, Jake and Maddie Trejo.
