Shane Chamberlin

Hello Citizens of Wauseon, Ohio, my name is Shane Chamberlin and I would like to THANK YOU for electing me as member of the Wauseon City Council.   

As for a little background, I was born in 1976 in Wauseon, Ohio. I was raised in Delta, Ohio and graduated from Delta High School in 1994. In 1998 I graduated from Defiance College (Defiance, Ohio) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. In July of 1998 Judge James Barber of the Fulton County Common Pleas Court hired me as his Chief Adult Probation Officer. This is a position I retain to this day. In June of 2000, I married Keri (Unger) and we have been blessed with two of the best children in the world, Maddux and Macy. I have been a proud and active resident of Wauseon since 1999.

My goal as a legislature is provide the most transparent form of government possible.  I personally invite members of the public to attend any number of our Council meetings.  Council meetings take place on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, with a prompt start time of 5:00pm.  Council members also gather on the Thursdays before those Monday night meetings for what is called “Committee of the Whole”.  These Thursday meetings begin at 7:15am.  Both the Monday night and Thursday morning meetings take place in the City Building inside council chambers (2nd floor) and all of these meetings are open to public attendance.
