NOTICE “ACCOUNT/UTILITY CLERK” FOR THE CITY OF WAUSEON

The Wauseon Civil Service Commission will administer a Civil Service Examination for the position of an “Account/Utility Clerk” for the City of Wauseon on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 6:00 pm in the Wauseon Fire Department Training Room (2nd Floor) at 230 Clinton Street. Successful candidates will undergo a background investigation.

Application forms are available in the Administrative Office (2nd Floor) in the Wauseon Municipal Building, 230 Clinton Street, Wauseon, Ohio. Applications may be obtained during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Each candidate must pay a $10.00 (non-refundable) application fee at the time they submit their application. Applications and resumes must be returned to the Wauseon Municipal Building no later than 4:00 pm, Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS – Completion of Associates degree in Accounting or related field and three (3) months related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Candidates must provide proof they have met the education requirements when submitting their application. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Successful candidates are required to serve a one (1) year probationary period.

Applicants wishing to obtain military credit must supply copies of DD214 certification at the time of application to receive the additional 10% to their passing score.

Starting salary is $33,196.80 or more depending on experience and includes liberal fringe benefits.
